Why timing matters
A liner has a clock on it.
Most vinyl liners last 8 to 12 years before the vinyl gets brittle, the pattern fades, and small leaks start. A plaster or concrete interior runs a little longer. If your pool is in that window, a new liner now is cheaper than chasing leaks and losing a swimming season to it.
The best time to book is fall, right at closing. The pool is already down, the work happens over the off season, and you are ready to swim the day it warms up. Spring works too, but those slots go early.

How long does a vinyl pool liner last?
Usually 8 to 12 years. Fading, wrinkles, brittleness at the waterline, and slow water loss are the signs it is near the end. Once a liner starts leaking, it rarely gets better on its own.
When is the best time to replace a liner?
Fall, at or just after closing, is ideal. The pool is already drained down, and you get the earliest booking so you are ready to swim first thing next season. Spring works too, but the calendar fills up fast.
Do you do the concrete deck and coping too?
Yes. Pool decks, coping, and the flatwork around a pool are our specialty. Doing the liner and the concrete with one crew means the edges line up and you are not managing two trades.
Can you fix a pool without replacing everything?
Often, yes. A new liner, a patched or resurfaced deck, and new coping can transform a pool for a fraction of a full rebuild. We tell you honestly at the site visit what is worth doing and what is not.
